This page describes the range of both modalities and logics related to the treatment of personal data of the users (hereinafter, the Users) who consult the website (hereinafter, the Site).

This information is provided pursuant the Art.13 of the Legislative Decree n.196/2003 – Personal Data Protection Code, which is applied to those Users who, by using the Site, provide the Agency for Digital Italy (hereinafter, AgID) with their own personal data.

The validity of the information contained in the following page is limited to this Site only, and shall not be extended to other websites that can be consulted through hyperlinks.

The supervisor and those in charge for the treatment of personal data

The Supervisor of the treatment of personal data, which are gathered through the Site, is AgID. The Agency is located in Viale Liszt 21 – 00144 Rome, Interested Users may contact the Agency in order to know how to enjoy their rights as enshrined in Art. 7 of the Privacy Code. Data will therefore be treated directly by the Supervisor, after having appointed the employees and collaborators who are in charge of personal data treatment. Any third parties to whom data will be disclosed with the aim of carrying out operations provided for by the present information, will be designated by the Supervisor as Responsible for the treatment pursuant Art. 29 of Personal Data Protection Code. Data will be not disseminated.

Type of data processed and purpose of the treatment

All personal data provided through the Site will be processed and fairly handled according to the law in order to provide the required services and to answer to users’ questions and communications, with the aim of pursuing AgID’s institutional goals, as established by law.


Cookies are limited text files that the Site send to the Users’ terminal, in which they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites during the following navigation.

The Site makes use of Cookies Analytics to gather aggregate information about the number of users and on the way in which they visit the Site. The Site uses the service offered by Google Analytics, whose cookie policy can be consulted at the following website: In order to ensure that users’ privacy is fully respected, the service is utilized in “_anonymizeip” modality, which masks Users’ IP addresses. For more information about this modality, please visit: Moreover, the Site retrieves navigation information, also through Piwik’s open source software, which is hosted by AgID’s servers. Data are gathered with the aim of elaborating anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site, and to verify its proper functioning; navigation data could be used to identify the User only when it is strictly necessary to detect and respond to security risks. The cookies utilized by the Site do not allow personal information to be gathered and they are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

Navigation data are deleted after their statistical elaboration and, in any case, they cannot be retained for more than 7 days from their initial collection, unless their prolonged retention is aimed at verify the presence of any security risk.

Cookies are not used to define users’ profiles.

Treatment modalities

Personal data are handled with automated tools only for a period of time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they have been collected, in accordance with Art. 11, letter e) of the Privacy Code. AgID adopts all privacy measures provided for by the Privacy Code to protect collected data and to avoid the risk for these data to be lost or stolen.

Rights of interested parties

Users may, at any time, exercise the rights provided for by Art. 7 of the Privacy Code, in order to prove their personal data are real and to know their content and source, verify their accuracy, request their updating or rectification. Under the same provision, the User may also request their cancellation, their transformation into an anonymous form or to block them when the Law is violated.
